What is in a name?
In 1961 when the organisation was founded, WWF stood for the "World Wildlife Fund". However in 1986 WWF changed its name to World Wide Fund for Nature when it became apparent that the organisation's focus was no longer restricted to the conservation of endangered wildlife, but also to the promotion of environmentally-friendly and sustainable practices that benefit the whole environment. (WWF is still know as the World Wildlife Fund in the United States of America and in Canada). More and more, however, to avoid confusion and mixed messages across borders and languages, WWF is simply known as "WWF, the global conservation organization."

Some WWF ads
The first two links show a lot of the wwf ads ... very very very interesting
and the last one is pretty funny and catchy
WWF ads on Freakymartin.com
WWF ads on enviromental alart blog
Other climate change ads
I just hope that these links do not make us to lazy to think up original ideas... although, they are great and can fit into our

next phase
I am going to start collecting as much material related to social awareness or even any advertisements or campaigns that have the kind of lateral thinking that communicates ideas in a fresh way.
I might be jumping the gun because we still need to do more research and have more contact with WWF_SA and then draft the creative brief, however i would like to get as much inspiration from the masters as possible, and i dont think we are gonna have another whole week of research
Here are some leads I've been chasing:

adbusters
100 best Guerilla Adds
creative criminals
and loads more

getting this blog more stream lined...
cool, the top link on the right, on this site, takes you straight to the facebook group. if you like to add the post from the blog site, simply type in the blog sites' address in the facebook status and share it, select the thumbnail, and the latest post on the blog will be shown in the facebook group. unfortunately i cannot link the blog directly to this group nor link this group directly to the blog when posting a blog or posting a note in facebook.
Added a twitter account to the sidebar. for now its my twitter account. we can set up the sappi twitter account and add it to this blog.

posts can be made from e-mail accounts... i will send you the e-mail address that you send to, to post a message to the blog from your e-mail account. This can also be done if you set up an account on your cell phone. but this will cost money, R2 per mb of information. this one so far will probably cost me for the most 0.25c as this post is only text, and text hardly takes up a lot of information.
this function made to post a blog from e-mail - is to help us with updating the site when we are inspired, and can let everyone know about the inspiration through an e-mail from your cell phone. It will cost just about the same amount or even less than an sms, and we will pick it up when we log onto the site in real time. ( i think that is f**king cool !! patting myself on the back for that... :) )
we all need to take part in documenting our findings and thoughts, and this is a good way of doing so. lets try and put this into practice as soon as possible.
i will set up a flikr account soon - so we can upload the digi pics we take for this project and stream it on the side, like on wayne's blog spot, www.knowtoneed.blogspot.com
cool, this is me leaving the world of the web, and now i will start on my 3d project that i have been putting on hold for about 8 hours... been so into this website thing... my mind is buzzing with ideas...
